Episode 1: The I’m the Problem Podcast: Introduction

Welcome to the I’m the Problem Podcast with Coach Stephanie Finigan. This short episode will give you an introduction to the show and give you an overview of what to expect each week.

Welcome to the I'm the Problem podcast with Coach Stephanie. I'm your host and coach, Stephanie Finigan.

Before I do anything else here, I just want to take a second and say thank you so much for checking out the show. I know there's a million podcasts out there and even a million personal development or self-help or coaching podcasts. So I'm really psyched that you're here, really appreciative, and I hope that you love what you hear. This episode will just be a quick intro to the show.

My intention here is just to give you a sneak peek into what this show is all about, as well as a very brief introduction into who I am as a coach. I'll tell you a little bit about myself and then just talk about what you can expect from the show each week. So I'm Stephanie, I'm a certified life coach and I'm founder of Pivot Coaching, which is my business where I help people who wanna make a pivot, whether that's personal or professional, but they're holding themselves back from doing what it is they know they really wanna do. So when I coach my clients, I take the thing that they've wanted to be or change or do or go after, and I help them get really clear on what that is, why they haven't done it yet, what the mental blocks are that are in their way and we work through all of that so that we can then come up with a really sustainable, really realistic action plan for them that's something that they really want to sink their teeth into and go after. I coach them through that plan so that they can actually make that pivot that they've been looking for.

So I've coached people on everything from career transitions to relationship changes to habits, personal habits they want to start or they want to stop, things they want to quit doing, things they want to do more of. I've done everything from coaching people who are extremely wealthy to coaching people who have no money in the bank. I've done a lot of money mindset coaching. I have a wide range of experience when it comes to coaching people as well as a wide range of experience when it comes to applying coaching tools and practices to my own life and seeing really amazing results. I love this stuff. I just get so excited about it. It is my passion. It is the thing I love to talk about the most which is part of why I wanted to launch a podcast.

The other thing to note about the business is that it also has a pro bono arm. So I provide free coaching to nonprofits that are focused on addressing recidivism and related issues. I'll be sharing more about that in the coming months as well, but just wanted to add that note because it's another element of coaching that I'm super passionate about.

So all of this is to say, I love this work, I love the clients that I serve, I love seeing transformation in my own life, and I'm really excited to bring all of this to hopefully a much wider audience through this podcast. The way that each episode is going to work is that I will be talking about something specific that I've gone through and how I've used coaching to help me through it. Or sometimes I will be using examples from clients, the clients who've given me permission to do so and explain how the tools or practices that we've walked through together in our coaching sessions have then worked for those clients. So we'll be looking at really what are the tools and practices that are the most impactful for people, be it myself or others.

The topics that I cover will cover, as I said, all of the various topics that I have coached people on, health, relationships, career, finances, you name it, I've coached on it, and we're going to talk about it here. And the goal here is that we do this in a way where you can then apply the tools and practices to your own life.

So this idea of “I'm the problem” is really sincere because sometimes, a lot of times, I am my own problem. I am the thing that's in my way, and same with my clients. So we talk a lot about circumstances being a problem, but at the end of the day, it's our thoughts, it's our mindset, it's what's going on inside of us that's really preventing us from becoming the people we want to be, achieving the things we want to achieve, making the change we want to make, and coaching is all about working through that so that you can get there, you can level up, you can do the stuff and be the person that you want to be.

So that's it, it's a pretty simple concept, but I'm really excited to share how these coaching tools have impacted me and my own problems and helped me solve them and done the same for my clients. And my hope is that you'll be able to see the effectiveness of these concepts and tools and techniques and then can apply them to whatever it is that you're going through. I'm really excited to get this pod out into the world and to start sharing all of this and I have just loved putting this show together for you.

So I really hope that you get a lot out of it and that you enjoy listening as much as I've enjoyed making this show. If you have any thoughts or feedback or anything at any time you can always reach me via email you can find me at info at make your pivot dot co or find me on the socials I spend most of my time over on Instagram at at pivot underscore coaching so if you've got comments or thoughts about the show a topic you want to hear about any feedback bring it on I'd love to hear it all.
